While what you state is true, the OP missed an obnoxious yellow school bus with flashing lights and stop sign. World of difference between that and veering slightly over the line on the highway.

@OP: Seriously, you made a mistake. Get a lawyer, they can really make a difference. And yes, what you did WAS a criminal offense. Has been for years, and I bet you didn't think the law was a bad idea when it was for some other person who recklessly ignores stopped school buses.


You're driving a 3000+ pound weapon out there, PAY ATTENTION! While talking with your kid is all nice and everything, it can wait until you aren't occupied with driving since clearly you, like so many others, aren't capable of doing both at the same time. You just think you can, like so many others.
